UpDog Pet Services provides private, in-home dog training throughout Nassau County and select areas of Queens. Owner and Head Trainer Eric Vissichelli, CDT-C works directly with dogs and their families using positive reinforcement, practical coaching, and real-world training tailored to each household.
We help with puppy foundations, everyday manners, leash skills, recall, impulse control, and more challenging behavior concerns. Our training focuses on building engagement, responsiveness, and clear communication without prong collars, choke collars, e-collars, or other aversive tools, while giving owners the skills to continue making progress between lessons and beyond.

💵 In-person dog training begins with a $95 in-home evaluation, payable at the time of your appointment. During the evaluation, we’ll meet and observe your dog, discuss your goals and concerns, review your dog’s routine and home setup, and provide practical guidance you can begin using right away.
Training recommendations are made after the evaluation so we can suggest the right plan based on your dog’s needs, your goals, and the level of support needed. At the end of the evaluation, we’ll walk you through the training package options that make sense based on what we see, including the associated cost. Most clients work through customized private lesson programs, with the number of lessons depending on their individual needs.
For young puppies with straightforward training goals, we may also recommend Puppy Foundations, a more structured basics-focused program designed to help families build strong foundations from the start.
Cases involving fear, anxiety, aggression, reactivity, or more complex behavioral concerns may require additional planning and a more individualized approach. Please see our FAQ page for more information about the evaluation process.
